Skool of Swole (SofS) is a program that has been designed
to help all CrossFit Charleston athletes enhance their Real strength and Raw
power, through a Relentless pursuit of knowledge and practical application of Olympic lifting and traditional weightlifting movements.
How can the Skool of Swole program help me as an individual athlete?
SofS has been uniquely designed to where all athletes who attend
can benefit from the program. Whether you are brand new to the program and learning how to do your first deadlift, or you are well experienced and looking to fine tune the intricacies of your clean and jerk, SofS offers a level of instruction that can benefit all ranges of athletes. Each SofS WOD is led by a Level 1 certified CrossFit Instructor who takes the group from start to finish. The instructors sole purpose during the time, is to organize and slow down the progressions of each movements so that the athletes can learn to perform them safely, efficiently, and with maximum success. There is ample time for both question and answer, and then of course, "hands-on training sets" with the feature movement.
What can I expect in each SofS class?
Each class focuses on just one strength movement per night. The coach and
athletes spend the first few minutes of each class breaking down the movement so
that each athlete understands exactly what is expected. Proper positioning, common faults, muscle group utilized, etc are just a few of the items that are addressed prior to every lift. The class also has one auxiliary movement
and one core development movement, that are used as compliments to the focus lift. These additional movements are used to further increase power, speed, torque ect through traditional and non traditional movements.
The goal and vision of our Skool of Swole is two fold. We are always constantly looking to push the envelope so that every athlete reaches maximum potential in their specific strength goals. And at the same time, we are just as committed
to teaching our athletes the building blocks of all good strength training programs...safety, mechanics, and consistency!!
